Description
In these weekly sessions for small groups of 6 to 10-year-olds with a BEGINNER (A1-A2 CEFR) or INTERMEDIATE (B1-B2) level of English , the students will focus on English oral and written communication skills [reading, speaking and listening], within the context of deciding what to do as a team; build something amazing, explore, defend a structure, gather resources, etc. These activities will also help them developemotional intelligence and soft skills such as leadership and team working, problem-solving, conflict resolution, adaptability, etc. Additionally these sessions are a good way for them to learn about about digital citizenship concepts such as critical thinking, information gathering, respecting each other and their work, and how to achieve a common goal.
What you will need:
- A Minecraft for Windows Edition (Bedrock) License installed on that laptop/PC [NOT JAVA] (you can buy it here) or you can sign up for a PC Gamepass in the Microsoft Store to get access to Minecraft and other games for a limited time for $1.
- A stable internet connection (>5Mbps)
- (Optional) A headset to facilitate listening and speaking.
- A second screen/device to be able to see the videoconference and listen to the other students and teacher without losing the Minecraft screen.
